AWARDS AND HONORS Miscellaneous: Scored his first NHL goal in
his first NHL playoff game. His power-play goal, at 8:29 of the first period, beat
Detroit goalie Corrado Micalef to even score at 1-1 in Game 3 of St.
Louis' first round series at Detroit on April 7, 1984. St. Louis went on to
win 4-3 on a goal by Mark Reeds at 17:07 of the second overtime -- the
longest game in St. Louis Blues history to that date (record since broken).
... Missed part of 1987-88 season with sprained left knee, an injury
suffered during Pittsburgh's Jan. 20, 1988, game at Chicago. He did not
return until Pittsburgh's Feb. 17, 1988, game at Vancouver. |

and remained in that position through 1999-00 season. ... Named Spokane (WHL) head coach
in June 2000 and remained in that position until May 2002. Miscellaneous: Joined Salt Lake for
1983 CHL playoffs. ... Was on Muskegon (IHL) team that relocated to
Cleveland prior to 1992-93 season. ... Left coaching in 2002 to return to
Cleveland and be closer to his family. Back in Cleveland, he worked as a hockey
school instructor. ... Was active in charitable causes during his playing
