AWARDS AND HONORS Miscellaneous: Joined Peter Helander as first European-born and trained
players to sign and play for Los Angeles Kings. ... Scored goal in first NHL game. The goal, at
16:35 of the first period, beat Canucks goalie Richard Brodeur to give
the Kings a 2-0 lead in eventual 3-3 tie. ... Attended Los Angeles'
training camp in preparation for the 1982-83 season, but left in September
1983 so he could return to his native Sweden. Los Angeles sold his pro
rights back to Solna, enabling him to resume career with the team
he had left just over one year earlier. |
