Was on Indianapolis (WHA) team that folded on Dec. 15, 1978, and was one of Wayne Gretzky's first professional teammates. Was also Gretzky's first professional right wing, playing on line with Gretzky and Angie Moretto when Gretzky scored his first professional goal on Oct. 20, 1978, vs. Edmonton. ... Had WHA rights picked up by Edmonton after Indianapolis team folded, but never played for parent team. ... Went into the broadcasting industry after retirement, eventually becoming Senior Vice President, Director of Sales for Gannett Television.
Personal: Nicknamed "The Stork."
