Miscellaneous: Played on N.Y. Islanders' "Commotion Line" with Garry
Howatt and Bob Nystrom from 1974-1976. ... Earned NHL Player of Week honors
for final week of January 1978. ... Sent to Los Angeles as part of Dale
McCourt settlement on Aug. 22, 1979. ... Missed part of 1980-81 season with
ruptured disc in back, an injury that required surgery on Oct. 31, 1980. He
had suffered injury during Los Angeles' 1980 training camp. ... Missed
part of 1981-82 season with pain from swollen disc in back, requiring him to
be placed in traction in December 1981. |
