1987-88 season and remained in that position through 1989-90 season. ... Named

fight in March 1984 and suffered recurring neck spasms, but made it back
in time for the playoffs. The injury, however, never fully healed, and
required off-season spinal fusion surgery in June 1984. He was slated to miss
the first 4-6 weeks of the 1984-85 season, but three doctors told him he would
risk permanent damage to the neck if he returned to the NHL, and he elected to
retire in December 1984. ... Never missed playoffs during his 11-year NHL career. |
