Missed final 15 games of 1973-74 season with knee injury. ... Missed part of
1975-76 season with torn ligaments in ankle. ... Centered Edmonton's top line,
ahead of Wayne Gretzky, when Oilers began play in NHL. ... Traded by Edmonton
to Colorado for Ed Cooper on March 9, 1982, and finished 1981-82 season in
Colorado. However, the NHL voided the trade in August 1982 because Colorado
had not revealed information about an injury to Cooper. Weir was returned to
Edmonton and eventually traded to Detroit. |

but came out of retirement in 1986 to play in senior hockey in Ontario. |
