Career Beyond Hockey: Remained in the Dallas area after retirement and became involved in local youth hockey scene, becoming a major figure in its development. He formally joined the Dallas Stars organization in 2010 and took over as director of hockey operations at the Dr. Pepper StarCenter in Plano, overseeing camps and clinics for the Stars.

Significant Injuries

Missed part of 1972-73 season with broken collarbone, an injury suffered while playing for Dallas (CHL).

Selected by Chicago Cougars in 1972 WHA Draft -- the first-ever WHA Draft -- in February 1972. Was never offered a contract by New York and became free agent after 1971-72 season. Was known throughout CHL as one of the league's best players on defensive-zone faceoffs. Honored by Stars for his impact on local youth hockey at Jan. 31, 2010, game vs. Phoenix.
