Missed most of Los Angeles' 1970 training camp with broken thumb. ... Missed parts of 1970-71 season due to two shoulder separations. The first occurred in Springfield's season-opener after a collision in the crease. The second, from another crease collision, required season-ending surgery. While he was out, future Hall of Famer Billy Smith became the team's No. 1 goalie, leading Springfield to the Calder Cup. ... Missed remainder of 1976 WHA playoffs with torn ligaments and tendon in right ankle, suffered during Game 1 of New England's second-round playoff series at Indianapolis on April 16, 1976. ...
