by Boston, so his rights reverted to Toronto under terms of
territorial negotiation list in 1971. He joined Toronto organization
upon his graduation from university.

of a doctor, St. John was also drawn to medicine. He pursued a medical
degree after two years of pro hockey in early 1970s, earned that degree
in 1979, and has been a family doctor in his hometown of Uxbridge,
Ontario, since 1980.
