Career Highlights

Scored a goal in each of his first three NHL games. He got his first on March 25, 1969, at Minnesota when he beat North Stars goaltender Fern Rivard at 17:55 of the second period to tie the game 1-1. Pittsburgh went on to win 3-1. On the following night at home against Los Angeles, Snell beat Kings goaltender Wayne Rutledge with the eventual game-winner at 14:26 of the second period to give Pittsburgh a 5-2 lead in an 8-4 win. Two nights after that, on March 29 vs. Philadelphia at home, he scored at 15:47 of the first period to pull Pittsburgh into a 1-1 tie of a game that ended 3-3. The goal, his last in the NHL, came against future Hall of Famer Bernie Parent.
